The latest version of our industry-leading, AI-powered background removal software, XSplit VCam, is available now! VCam 4.0 brings an overhauled design and some new features to help with your remote work, video conferencing, or anything where virtual backgrounds might be helpful!
XSplit VCam 4.0
The new design helps you do everything faster by making all the features you need easily accessible. We’ve expanded the settings menu so you can easily customize your experience and introduces some new features!
First up, we now have multiple custom watermarks which expands on our custom watermark feature. Custom watermarks can also now easily be anchored to a point on the screen with various anchor points, making it easier to position your lower third or company branding.
We’ve also added an enhanced lighting feature, which will automatically adjust how your camera looks based on the lighting conditions. Again, you can fully customize and control how this all works in the settings.
These new features are on top of the usual improvements, bug fixes, and more that you’d expect from a new release!
With the latest release for our AI-based background removal and replacement app, XSplit VCam, we’ve bought auto-framing to the feature list! With auto-framing enabled, so long as you’re in the camera frame, VCam will make sure you’re in the center of the shot.
All you need to do is head to the settings, enable auto-framing and you’re ready! To download XSplit VCam simply sign up for an account, head to your dashboard, and download the program. VCam is available for both Windows and macOS and when combined with XSplit Connect: Webcam you can even use your Android or iOS smartphone as your webcam!
XSplit Broadcaster 4.3 is available to download now and it comes with some big updates to how you can get started and run your content!

A new customizable background source
We have completely overhauled setting up your first stream in XSplit Broadcaster 4.3, making it easier than ever to open the program and get streaming! You can now easily add your camera, a source, and a background in moments!
We’ve also updated the sources menu, meaning you can find everything you need even faster. We’ve also added the ability to easily add lower thirds with templates that you can customize with just a few clicks!

As some of you may be aware, Twitch is having a phased shutdown of its old v5 API, as detailed here. A result of this was difficulty connecting to Twitch for any streaming software, XSplit Broadcaster included. We have taken steps to update our Twitch plugin which should be in effect now.
When you first open XSplit Broadcaster you will be prompted to update your Twitch plugin, once you have completed this everything should be applied and run as normal. Any older versions of the plugin will not be able to connect and you will need to use the workaround solution of a custom RTMP connection. However, once you have followed the steps in the update prompt you shouldn’t need to do this.
There will be some ongoing issues due to this change which we’ll be updating and issuing fixes as soon as possible.
Sources that use Twitch such as the chat plugin or alerts plugin may experience issues.
Some in-game HUD and Game Bar functionalities may also be affected.
Both of these issues should be resolved in the coming days via an additional application update.
If you still experience login issues after the Twitch output plugin has updated, please uncheck the “confirm ingest server” setting in the stream channel settings in XSplit Broadcaster and try again.
If you require any further assistance, please do not hesitate to drop a message to our customer support team who are available 24/7.
XSplit Broadcaster 4.2 is here and with it are some really big upgrades to how you stream!
VST3 Support – VST3.0 Effect Plugins can be used on your main microphone to add enhancements to the mics sound.
Virtual Microphone – Much like Virtual Camera, you can now use XSplit Broadcaster as a virtual mic! So whatever audio is coming from Broadcaster, you can send that to any calls/sources you’re in!
Low Power Mode – Save processing power when video devices are not actively being used by activating low power mode on that source.
10 Bit HDR Support – Capture games that output in HDR and Broadcaster will convert them to SDR for your broadcast. So, you can play your game in HDR but send the correct signal out to your stream!
No more Admin Permission pop up – XSplit Broadcaster won’t ask for admin permission when you open it.
There are a bunch of other features and improvements like new sample rates added to noise suppression, updates to the stream-only speaker device, a single login/signup button, and more! On top of this, we have a whole bunch of bug fixes which you can find in the full release notes here.
It’s also worth noting that for security reasons XSplit Broadcaster now only supports Windows 10 and beyond.
Finally, we would also like to say thank you to everyone who has been using XSplit Broadcaster 4.2 in PTR, which if you’re interested you can download the latest PTR version of XSplit Broadcaster and try out new features before they hit the main release.

In the last year, we’ve seen a radical shift in the way we work together and here at XSplit and we thought, using the knowledge we’ve gained over the last ten years, that we could make the way we meet and present information better. We found that giving presentations with everything scattered over a number of windows, from our Google Slides, the webpage we wanted to show, and a YouTube video that demonstrates our point didn’t make things run smoothly. We were asking “can you see my screen?” way too often for our liking!
On top of that, we found having to choose between seeing our face as we gave a presentation, or seeing our slides, was removing either the information or the personal connection that can keep people engaged and connected with what we were saying.
Introducing XSplit Presenter
This is where we got the inspiration for XSplit Presenter, letting you add personality, flair, and interactivity to your presentations, pitches, and meetings. What we wanted to do was pull all your sources into one, secure program and let you add videos, websites, and your webcam (of course, using our VCam background removal tech) all in one place.
Full Integration with services you already know and use
Something we knew we wanted was integration with the services we are already using, so you’ll find XSplit Presenter works with Google Slides, Microsoft Powerpoint, or even a PDF file! It also works as a virtual camera in all your favorite video call platforms like Zoom, Teams, and Skype, so no more worries about someone seeing a Messenger window pop up during your meetings as you choose what gets shared, not the share screen button!
Engage and Interact with your audience
Another thing we found we needed was the ability to address questions easily as they came up, so we built in real-time annotations and highlighting with our virtual pointer. Not only that, but you can easily pull in more sources, or interact with a webpage live inside the presentation so again, nobody needs to see your desktop and you don’t have to break the flow of the conversation. Want to show your product page? Just click on it!
Multiple speaker support
Giving a group presentation? Using NDI sources from software like Skype you can add multiple remote speakers and seamlessly transition to them as the presentation progresses, even integrating them into your slides like your own camera.
We’re going to be adding more and more features, including remote collaboration, so we’re excited to go on this journey with you! XSplit Presenter is available to download and try for free during the open beta period so download it and try it out for yourself today!
We’d also love to hear your feedback, you can reach us here in the comments, on our social channels @xsplit, or on our Discord server.
XSplit Presenter, our latest software, lets you give professional presentations with personality and flair. Today, we want to talk about how you can easily get started sharing your presentations online or in person!
First up, once you have downloaded, installed, and opened XSplit Presenter for the first time you’ll be prompted to load a presentation into Presenter. You can also click “Connect Presentation” to get started on a new project if you are returning.
You can load a PowerPoint, Google Slides, or PDF Presentation, just open the browser and find your file. You can also load online or local PDF files as well!
For your Google Slides presentation, you will need to create a link that is viewable to anyone. To do this click “share” on your presentation and in the “Get link” area click “restricted” and change this to “Anyone with the link” then click “copy link” and you have the URL you need to paste into Presenter!
Once your slides have loaded in you can easily add more slides to your Presentation in XSplit Presenter by clicking “Add Slide”.
These slides can be your webcam, media files, or even capturing your desktop. These sources can also be added as elements of your presentation slides! You can use the presenter preview window to position your sources easily by simply clicking on them and moving them or use the source menu for additional controls for audio and cropping! Also, if you have a webcam, you can easily remove the background!
If you have added more slides or notes to your original presentation, you can resync everything so it is saved to the original presentation.
In each slide, you can easily add annotations by using the tools below the main presentation, this way you can add arrows, highlights, and more. You can even do this while you’re live so if someone asks a question you can point directly to what you want to highlight!
You can also select how you want each slide to transition between each other, like how a scene in a movie or TV show changes from one to another!
For online presentations, adding XSplit Presenter to your call couldn’t be easier! If you’re using, for example, Google Meet, simply select XSplit Presenter as your camera source. This is, in fact, true for any calling platform! XSplit Presenter acts as a “virtual camera” so it’s easy to use anywhere! Simply hit “Present” when you’re ready to go!
For an offline presentation, connect your PC to a monitor source and hit “Present”. Whichever output you’re using, online or offline, XSplit Presenter will guide you through how to get set up when you press the “Present” button. Simply select the calling service you’re using or the monitor on “Project to a monitor”.
If you won’t be giving a live presentation or wish to record your presentations for practice or to send to a meeting you can’t attend, you can do so by clicking the record button. Make sure to check that you’ve selected the proper microphone device to record your voice. The speaker icon allows you to select your playback device that will record audio from your video sources or whatever audio is playing on your PC.
We hope you enjoy XSplit Presenter, if you have any questions you can reach us on social platforms @xsplit or if you have a problem contact our support team who are available 24/7. If there are any features you need, be sure to give us feedback either on our socials or here in the comments section below! Also, as a bonus fact, the screenshots in this article with arrows were easily made using XSplit Capture!
XSplit VCam 2.3 is here and with it a whole host of improvements and bug fixes, but the headline feature of this update is our vastly improved AMD GPU support for hardware acceleration! Use your AMD GPU, like you can with an NVIDIA GPU, to power the background blurring, removal, and replacement in VCam taking that processing away from your CPU and improving performance!
What makes 2.3 better?
Better AMD GPU Support and improved hardware acceleration! XSplit VCam now uses DirectML for NVIDIA and AMD GPUs. This implementation solves issues with 3 series Nvidia GPUs and works significantly more efficiently on AMD compared to previous versions of VCam.
For content creators with AMD GPUs, this will mean running a game at the same time you’re using XSplit VCam will be a much smoother experience.
Startup optimizations including reduced loading time and the calibration process when you first launch the app proceeds to the main screen automatically.
Bug fixes!
Like we have with previous updates, we’ve listened to your comments and feedback to improve our app and resolve the most common issues from the previous version:
No more app freezing when switching backgrounds
Resetting of camera/capture card color properties
The “enable HD option” not working on local user accounts with an ampersand in the name, and much more.
If you have any questions or feedback, let us know in the comments section below. You can also chat with us through our social channels @xsplit and our Discord community. Finally, if you have any features you would like to request, you can submit them through the VCam request page here!
If version 4.0 was about introducing big new features, this update focuses more on enhancements of existing features, handy quality of life improvements, and tons of bug fixes. That’s not to say there’s nothing new and exciting in this update though and if we’re being honest, we think there’s just as much here!
