2020년은 정말 기괴한 한 해 였습니다. 그 누가 내 친한 친구한테 ‘전기실’에 오래 있었다고 수상하다고 투표를 한다면 누가 이 이야기를 믿어줄까요? 어몽어스 게임은 한국에서도 유명한 ‘마피아 게임’과 같은 메커니즘을 이용한 게임으로써 특히 스트리머들과 유튜버들에게 큰 인기를 가지게 되었습니다.
다른 유명세를 탄 게임 중 하나는 폴 가이즈 였으며, 이 역시 한국에서 유행을 타게 된 이유 중 하나는 고전 예능 프로그램 중 하나인 ‘출발 드림팀’의 콘셉트를 가져온 게임이며 이러한 게임은 예능으로 플레이 하거나 진정한 실력을 키우기 위해 하는 사람들이 많이 생겨났습니다. 둘 다 인터넷 방송 콘텐츠로 충분히 적합했습니다.
멀티플레이 FPS 게임은 언제나 항상 유행을 타고 있습니다. 장르에 새로운 바람을 불어온 발로란트는 할아버지 급 FPS 게임인 카운터 스트라이크에 약간의 양념을 더한 느낌이었고 기존의 인기 게임인 오버워치와 포트나이트, 배틀그라운드와 비교적 새로 등장한 에이펙스 레전드와 콜오브 듀티 워존 역시 트렌드를 유지하고 있습니다.
물론 이스포츠 문화를 이어가는 리그 오브 레전드, 도타 2, 하스스톤은 지속적으로 방송 시청자들이 상승세를 보이고 있습니다. 참고로 리그 오브 레전드 대회는 2020년 11월에 시청 시간 총 합 124시간을 돌파 한 적도 있습니다.
나 라면 무슨 콘텐츠를 기획할까?
처음 인터넷 방송을 시작하면 막상 어떤 콘텐츠를 방송할지 고민이 됩니다. 대부분 현재 유행하고 있는 인기 게임을 한다거나 다른 유명 스트리머들이 하는 게임을 따라하거나 합니다. 하지만 아무리 유행과 인기를 바탕으로 나만의 방송을 한다 해도 시청자들이 나의 채널을 봐줄거라는 정답이 되지 않습니다. 타인들에게 즐거움을 주려는 목적이더라도 내가 막상 즐겁지 않으면 큰 의미가 없을더러 나만 지칠뿐 아무런 성과가 없을 수 있습니다.
아무런 부담 없이 새로 출시된 게임을 맛보기 형식으로 플레이 한다거나 고전 클래식 게임을 되돌아보는 기념으로 플레이 하는것, 또는 게임 뿐만 아니라 내가 가장 잘 하는 취미를 카메라에 담아서 보여주는것 역시 모두 콘텐츠로 활용할 수 있습니다. 나만 알고 남은 모를만한 정보를 공유하는 것도 나름 재미있을 수 있습니다.
인터넷 방송의 중점은 나 자신 역시 흥미로워야 하며 꾸준히 가꿔 나갈 수 있는 범위 내에서 관리할 수 있어야 합니다. 최첨단 기술이나 최고가의 장비는 우선시 되지 않으며 나만의 캐릭터와 내 시청자들의 커뮤니티를 형성하여 모두가 즐거운 장소가 되어야 합니다. 어느정도 편성표를 다듬어서 시간에 맞춰서 콘텐츠를 제공하는 것도 시청자들에게 기대감을 더해줄 수 있는 요소입니다. 항상 부각하는 점은 내가 재미있고 내가 즐거워야 한다는 점을 잊지 마세요!

But to go forward, sometimes you have to look back, so we thought we’d take a look at some of the key streaming trends we’ve seen this year across everything from gaming to art.
Each year, the streaming trends change as content creators focus on improving their channels. This year has seen some creative applications of digital art, with anime avatars used by the Vtube community becoming increasingly popular on streaming channels – even well-known creators like Pokimane are giving it a try.
User-decided content is also now more common with creators who want to really engage with their audiences. This has even resulted in some channels offering rewards where creators will play games with members of their community or let audiences vote on what games they will play next. The developers of Baldur’s Gate 3 pushed that boundary even further by enabling streamers to let the audience decide their dialogue.
The big takeaway is that if you want to grow a bigger and better channel, you need to know what your audience wants.
2020 has been a strange year as it is, but who would’ve thought we’d be ending it playing a game where we’re calling our friends ‘sus’ because they took too long in electrical? Among Us has been just one of many games sitting at the top of the streaming trends this year.
Other highlights have included the vibrant and often ridiculous Fall Guys, which has seen top competitors battle it out in a bid for a unique skin.
Multiplayer shooters have remained a key genre in streaming this year, with the likes of Valorant and its iridescent take on CS:GO maps climbing the charts. Overwatch and Fortnite have also stuck around with no signs of going anywhere, even with the likes of Apex Legends and Call of Duty: Warzone saturating the field.
And, of course, streaming wouldn’t be streaming without seeing esports favorites like League of Legends, DOTA 2, and Hearthstone also regularly clocking in high viewer counts – League alone racked up more than 124 million viewer hours in November 2020.
Want to know what to stream?
It can be hard to decide what to stream when you first get started. It’s easy to get swept up in streaming trends and think it’s best to go for anything that’s dominating channels with high viewer numbers. But when it comes to content creation, it should always revolve around what you enjoy – whether you’re just starting out or developing your audience.
You might decide that’s the newest AAA game you’ve just got your hands on or an old classic you like to play again and again like Tomb Raider. Or perhaps you’ve decided you want to share your art and your content will be focused on offering tutorials and How-To guides.
The key to streaming is that, whatever you choose to put out there, it has to be something you’re generally interested in and will stick at. It doesn’t have to be big studio set-ups or personalities, the best way to build a community is to be consistent and share your enjoyment. 많은 학교들이 대부분 원격 수업으로 대체하는 시대에 접어들었습니다. 온라인 수업 및 강의는 이제 어느정도 평준화 되어서 일상이 되버렸습니다. 집에서 업무를 진행하거나 수업을 받는 일상이 어색하시다면 저희 XSplit 에서 원격 수업 및 수강을 진행하는 간단한 팁을 알려드리겠습니다.

올바른 장비 준비하기
가장 기본적인 것 이지만 부담스럽지 않아도 되는 부분 입니다. 현존하는 최강 스펙의 컴퓨터가 필요하지는 않습니다. 평균적인 컴퓨터나 노트북 PC로도 충분합니다. 대략 인텔 i5 이상이거나 8Gb 이상의 램 정도만 있으면 충분합니다. 온라인으로 진행되는 만큼 인터넷의 속도와 환경도 중요한 부분 입니다. 전반적으로, 인터넷이 불안정 하거나 없다면 인터넷 방송 자체를 진행할 수 없을 뿐 더러 이 블로그 글 역시 보실 수 없으셨을 것입니다.
생방송으로 강의를 진행하려면 일단 웹캠과 마이크가 있어야 내 모습과 내 목소리를 전달할 수 있습니다. 대부분의 신형 노트북 PC 에는 이 두 가지를 기본적으로 포함한 완성품을 구매할 수 있습니다. 하지만 조금만 더 영상 품질과 음질을 안정적이도록 신경쓰시려면 로지텍 (Logitech) 웹캠을 구매하여 이를 삼각대로 지지하시거나 저렴한 방송용 마이크를 구매하실 수 있습니다.

청소년층의 학생을 담당하는 교사들은 대부분의 청소년들은 활발하고 활동적인 것을 감안하여 수업과 강의를 준비합니다. 활동적인 청소년들은 궁금한 점이 있으면 참지 못하고 질문을 하며 분위기 전환도 할 수 있으며 수업의 전체적인 흐름을 건설적으로 활용할 수 있습니다.

일부 수업은 모두 실시간 생방송이 아니어도 되는 점도 이해 해야합니다. 굳이 특정 발표를 위해 학생들이 약속된 시간에 로그인을 해야 할까요? 만약 로그인 문제가 생기면 기다리는 사람들은 어떻게 보상해야 하며 내가 모든 기술적인 상황을 해결할 수 있을까요? 숙제 및 과제의 개념으로 일부 수업은 학생들이 미리 영상이나 사진을 제작하여 제출 할 수 있도록 하거나 조별로 학생들을 지명하여 해당 학생들의 토론 현장을 녹화한 뒤 제출할 수도 있습니다.
태어날 때 부터 최신기술이 존재하는 청소년들에게도 일부 온라인 수업의 에티켓과 컴퓨터 프로그램 활용법은 학생들 사이에서도 재각각 일 수 있습니다. 온라인 수업 환경에 적응하려면 인내심을 가지고 내 차례를 기다려야 하며 친구의 발표 시간에는 마이크를 음소거 할 줄 아는 제어 방법도 차근차근 배워야 합니다.

Once upon a time (aka 2019), working from home was for freelancers and the lucky few with flexible employers. Today, of course, it’s much more commonplace – with 38% of UK employees recorded as working exclusively from home in June 2020. Organizations have discovered that WFH is cost-effective and easy to manage, so it looks like it’s here to stay.
Suddenly finding that your workstation has moved from the office to your spare room can come as a shock. How can your old laptop or kitchen table replace the IT-supported environment you’re used to? Don’t fear, it’s actually really simple to create a WFH setup that works. Here’s how!
Forget those glossy pictures of sleek home offices you’ve seen on Zoom backgrounds. In reality, you can work effectively from home with very little. The minimum WFH hardware you’ll need is a laptop or desktop with an integrated webcam and mic. Actually, scratch that – you can even work from home on a tablet since a lot of them also have webcams and work with wireless keyboards.
Add a decent WiFi connection and a flat surface and you have all the basics. Ideally, you will designate a quiet space to set up your kit as close to the router as possible, and though we all like the idea of a paperless office, access to a printer can also be helpful.
Round off the home office feeling with a comfortable chair and a pot of coffee on the go. WFH setup – complete.
If you’re planning online meetings or hoping to record presentations, you may choose to upgrade WFH hardware like your camera and mic. A Logitech camera on a basic tripod will enhance your screen presence and there are plenty of good vlogging mics available on Amazon.
Space permitting, you may also have the luxury of installing a second monitor. This makes the whole split-screen thing a lot easier to manage and you can collaborate on a Google doc, for example, without having to squint at multiple tiny windows.
Even if you have a sophisticated home office set-up, you may find a laptop easier than a desktop if there is more than one of you working or learning from home. Switch off the camera and no-one will know that you’re hiding from your kids in the shed.
Install the right software
As the freelance sector already knows, much of the available WFH-friendly software, including XSplit VCam, are free or inexpensive. At this point in 2020, most of us have Zoomed or used Microsoft Teams and the online meeting is very much business-as-usual. The very first step is by downloading and installing Gamecaster. Get the right tech
Impressive as it might seem, you don’t need the full influencer green-screen-type set-up. You’ll be fine with a decent laptop or desktop that runs at a reasonable speed (Core i5 or faster, and 8GB or more of RAM), and make sure you have a reliable router. If you have any issues with connectivity, put your hand up now and make sure your school IT team is aware.
If you’re planning live lessons, you’ll need a webcam and microphone. Most newish laptops have reasonable integrated cameras and mics, although you may want to use something like a Logitech camera on a tripod to get your best angle. In addition to tech, your other physical consideration is the background. You can add our XSplit VCam to platforms like Zoom, Microsoft Teams, and Skype, enabling you to blur out your kitchen cupboards or add a calm, non-distracting background. Or if you want to mix it up, a quirky background could even become a feature of some lessons.
Bear in mind that not all children have access to devices or the internet. If we’re talking about learning from home during lockdown or self-isolation, it’s not as simple as popping around to the library. You might need to print and post worksheets, so consider adding a simple printer to your tech must-have list.
What apps, software, and platforms are available to help you? Thankfully, the answer is “plenty”.
Your school may have subscribed to educational software such as Canvas, which works with sharing platforms. This means that lessons can be integrated with learning materials and assignments. When it comes to free educational tools, Google Classroom and Moodle are great options that help teachers and students manage file sharing.
Platforms like Zoom and Blackboard Collaborate let you broadcast, share, and record lessons, plus you can stream PowerPoint presentations. Students can also share their screens, and you can set up small breakout groups. As well as the classes themselves, there are plenty of easy-to-use apps to supplement your lessons, which you might already be using. Programs like MyMaths and the award-winning Hegarty Maths for older pupils are great for checking the understanding of topics, while platform game-style apps like SumDog help to engage younger children.
For quick and easy topic introductions, you can keep it simple with age-appropriate online quizzes. Don’t feel that any of these resources are shortcuts, though. Take all the remote teaching support that you can, especially if you have the double-whammy of managing online learning for self-isolating pupils while continuing to teach normal classes.
Any teacher knows that teenage students can be spirited, to say the least, so it helps to have an action plan for when you’re not present in person to keep things running smoothly.
A day or so before the first class, send through straightforward login instructions and a few guidelines. Be really clear about your expectations. Learning from home requires the same protocols as it does in the classroom: respectful language, courtesy, no interruptions, and for any nonessential devices (such as mobile phones) to be put away or switched off.
In an ideal world, students connect from a calm space – realistically, this isn’t always possible. Ask them to mute their mics unless they need to speak, to prevent distracting background noise for their fellow students. You can use Zoom’s polling tools for quick-and-easy responses to questions.
A great way to encourage engagement is through small breakout groups. Set them a definite task or topic to discuss (they can work on something collaborative like Google Docs). And yes, make it enjoyable. Have a ‘Bring Your Pet to Class’ session, or try the school equivalent of the Zoom Pub Quiz. Consider recording the lesson to share with the class afterward.
Before rushing pupils to log in, ask yourself: does this need to be a live class? You can record short presentations or webinars on XSplit Broadcaster to introduce students to the topic, then set them further work.
If you have children with additional needs in your class, seek advice from the experts at your school and, if possible, speak with their parents. Some children may feel uncomfortable staring into their peers’ faces on Zoom, while others may blossom in a remote teaching situation.
And now to the less tech-savvy but equally demanding younger learners. Like their teenage counterparts, children need to know the rules of online learning. The usual rules, such as hands up to answer questions, will help create a feeling of normality.
Keep online interaction time short for young attention spans, and if you have the capacity, teaching smaller groups is easier with primary-aged children. Be mindful that parents will need to supervise younger learners – another good reason to keep live sessions short.
As you embrace this new way of working, remember that there’s a lot of fun to be had with learning from home. You can embed short films or audiobooks into your lessons, or simply read them a story – just like you would at the end of the day in a regular class. Set plenty of off-screen activities for them to report back on, and show-and-tell type sessions work brilliantly online, too. Use the platform’s polling functions to set up multiple choice quizzes about the topics, or challenge older kids to create their own. This is also a great opportunity to encourage younger children to develop their IT skills.
Top tip: if you usually work with a teaching assistant, have them as your co-pilot during any live sessions. That way, should your connection go down, there’s still an adult in the Zoom. Imagine what could happen if your hosting defaulted to an over-excited eight-year-old…
Finally, remember that you’re learning from home, too. Don’t expect this whole new way of working to slide into place immediately. Be open-minded and willing to adapt teaching methods and topics.
At the same time, make sure you’re confident with your remote teaching setup. Practice on friends and colleagues before launching into the world of live streaming lessons. Don’t use tech you’re not comfortable with; and if there are any problems, you still have the backup of your usual school support team. 스마트폰의 XSplit Connect: Webcam 이 설치되었다면 앱 실행 후 카메라 캡처에 필요한 카메라 접근 권한을 승인 해야 합니다. 반드시 스마트폰과 PC가 같은 네트워크에 연결되어있어야 합니다.
