Ever since we started the nightly rounds, we have met some of the most talented and creative gamers in the community. We’ve decided to start highlighting some of these individuals and including them in a weekly post that showcases why these people are not only awesome gamers but part of the #XSplitFamily.

XSplit U.S. Community Manager GamrInsanity wanted to get this started to also help celebrate the recent launch of 60fps streaming available on YouTube.

XSplit Supports European Speedster Assembly

In case it’s not obvious yet, we love speedrunners! We’re part of the Humble ‘Awesome Games Done Quick 2015’ Bundle early this year where an XSplit license was included in one of the bundles. For this month, we are supporting another speedrunning event named European Speedster Assembly also known as ESA this coming June 28 – July 5 2015.

XSplit supports ESA 2015

ESA is an annual speedrunning marathon organized by the Swedish speedrunning community. It’s an event that is held physically in Sweden, but the interesting part is there are people from other countries who will attend the event either to speedrun or spectate. Their full schedule (including games to play) for the event can be found here.

We highly encourage you to watch their marathon to witness the best speedrunners of Sweden! Aside from that, there will also be some fun and exciting activities during the event which will of course include XSplit license giveaways and many more.

The event will be livestreamed at twitch.tv/esa and we will be promoting the event on our social media when it starts.

Regarding rumors of potential leak of user data

Update: Oct 14 2013, 10.46 pm UTC+8

We’ve received data from helpful users showing screenshots of a compromised user. While there’s XSplit data in the picture, that data does not come from our cloud systems, but are from a local file found on the users hard drive. We believe the hacker got access through yet undetermined means, and from there started collected account info throughout the computer. There’s no evidence that XSplit was used to gain access to the computer, everything points to a previous breach which could have been done through any type of malware.

Oct 10 2013, 6.45 pm UTC+8

We have learned of rumours that our database has been compromised, and that account information has been leaked.

We are looking into the user reports to verify whether there has been a breach – at this point in time there’s no evidence for it. We’ve reached out to the users who contacted us directly to get details, but so far they haven’t responded. We take the matter very seriously though.

Please contact us if you suspect your account has been compromised or if you have any additional information: www.xsplit.com/support (use website feedback)

At this point in time, there’s no reason to change your email or password, but if you feel safer, here’s how to:

Change password
Change email address

We are actively working around the clock to investigate the claims made, and we will continue to update about the situation here on this blog post.

We sincerely apologize for the inconvenience.
